Privacy Policy

What this website collects, how we use and protect it, how long we keep it, and why this site is not the place to send patient information.

Effective date: August 26, 2026

Scope of this policy

This policy describes how Edison Breakwater handles information collected through edisonbreakwater.com and related public web pages. Information exchanged during a client engagement is governed by the written agreement covering that engagement.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Contact form submissions, including your name, email address, phone number, practice or company name, practice size, and the message you write
  • Diagnostic and application submissions, including the operational and financial ranges you choose to report
  • Scheduling information you provide through our third-party scheduling provider
  • Account information if you create an account for member resources, including your email address and authentication data
  • Saved workbook or worksheet responses you enter while using member resources
  • Email addresses and delivery activity when you request a resource or receive correspondence from us
  • Website analytics data, including pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and interaction events
  • Payment information, if and when digital resources are sold, processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

Protected health information

This public website is not intended for the submission of protected health information. Please do not submit patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, clinical details, images, or other patient-specific information through the contact form, diagnostic tools, scheduling notes, or ordinary email.

Edison Breakwater does not claim that this public website is a HIPAA-compliant channel for patient information. Where an engagement requires Edison Breakwater to create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information on behalf of a covered entity, those obligations are governed by a Business Associate Agreement and appropriate security and access controls established before any access is provided.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site function, session management, and analytics. Analytics help us understand which pages are useful and how visitors arrive.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect member-area functionality such as staying signed in.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to inquiries and evaluate whether an engagement is a fit
  • Deliver requested resources, diagnostic results, and correspondence
  • Provide and maintain member accounts and saved workbook progress
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website and our published content
  • Meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share it with service providers that operate parts of this site and our business, including hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, scheduling, analytics, and payment processing, and only to the extent needed to provide those services.

We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including transport encryption, access controls, multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts, and least-privilege access to stored submissions.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use the secure file-transfer method we designate during an engagement rather than email for sensitive practice information.

Data retention

We retain inquiry, diagnostic, and account information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide member access, and meet business and legal record-keeping needs, and then delete or de-identify it. You may ask us to delete your submission earlier.

Your requests

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted, or to stop sending you email. Write to clarity@edisonbreakwater.com and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. Where state or other law grants you additional rights, we honor them.

This site links to third-party research, publications, and service providers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
